Aveng Grinaker-LTA Building has been awarded the contract for the conversion of the Alberton City Hall into temporary Council Chambers that will accommodate 280 council members plus auxiliary staff.
The project entails alterations and additions to the existing foyers and ablutions, as well as various refurbishments to other parts of the City Hall. One of the main elements of the work will be the installation of voice / audio visual electronics, and an update to the electrical DBs and wire ways. The HVAC system also requires repairing and servicing.
The project will commenced mid-August and is due for completion at the end of October 2015.
